GoPrint
Systems, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Steve Haber. GoPrint
is a Northern California based software development; system integration
and management
consulting company with strong expertise in networks and printing
software solutions. Steve Haber and or GoPrint have been registered
software developers for Hewlett-Packard's Printer Divisions for
many years. In 1998, Steve Haber was awarded United States Patent
#5,764,235 for an application to improve internet imaging and printing.
In 1999, GoPrint, acquired the assets of Texas based Card Access
Technologies, Inc., a systems integration company.
The acquisition
brought together over 30 years of innovation and experience involving
debit cards, copier vending, printing
software development and network printing systems.
GoPrint Systems
specializes in providing state-of-the-art, Multi-Platform, Self-Service,
Cost Recovery, Pay-For-Print Management Systems
to Colleges and University Campuses, Computer Centers, Libraries
and Learning Resource Centers. More than 150 campuses across
the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada use our systems to
recover printing costs and control waste.
GoPrint is based in
Northern California's technology center of San Ramon, approximately
25 miles east of San Francisco and
40 miles north of San Jose. Software development and a remote
support facility are located in Phoenix, Arizona.

History |
In June 2007, the Multi-Platform, GoPrint (GS-4) Self-Service, Cost Recovery, Network Printer Management Solution was released. This all new Java based architecture, includes highly advanced features that include a non-resident web-based client popup, a customizable user interface simultaneous use of multiple payment systems, and much more.
In May 2007, GoPrint completed its CERTIFIED interface to CBORD'S CS-GOLD one card system and announced a greatly expanded partnership relationship.
In May 2006, GoPrint initiated support for credit cards and PayPal allowing users to add value to their accounts.
In April 2006, completed and shipped its CERTIFIED interface to NuVision Networks one card system.
In
July 2005, GoPrint introduced, shipped and installed the first
100 percent Red Hat LINUX server based version of the GoPrint GS-3
Print Cost Recovery System.
In July 2004, GoPrint introduced, shipped
and installed the first MACINTOSH OSX server based version of the
GoPrint GS-3
Print Cost Recovery System.
In February 2004, GoPrint completed
its interface and became a CERTIFIED Blackboard Building Blocks
Partner.
In February 2004, GoPrint completed its interface and became
a CERTIFIED CBORD Campus Elements Partner.
In November 2003, GoPrint
introduced, shipped and installed the first 100 percent Gentoo
LINUX server based version of the
GoPrint GS-3 Print Cost Recovery System.
In August 2003 the 100%
web enabled, GoPrint (GS-3) Self-Service, Cost Recovery, Network
Printer Management Solution was released.
This all new architecture, written primarily in Java and including
the most advanced features of any print management product, retains
its simple and easy-to-use user interface while adding multiple
purse quota accounts, computer labs scheduling, rules based printing,
password protection and much, much more.
In October 2002 The GoPrint
(GS-2) Self-Service, Cost Recovery, Network Printer Management
Solution was released. Primarily a
C++ written product, with Java components, this advanced and
greatly improved new version adds single rules based printing,
new card readers, improved page counting including PCL-6 and
support for Macs.
In August 2000 "The GoPrint Solution" Self-Service
Touchscreen Network Printer Management System, Version 1 was
released.
The "GS-1" was designed from scratch and is
ALL NEW from the basic program architecture to the unequalled
PayStation
user interface. This one sizzles! Beginning with the installation
wizards, and proceeding to the detailed on-line help, this
system offers huge advantages over its predecessors and competitors.
Providing "THE EASIEST WAY TO CHARGE FOR PRINTING AND RECOVER
COSTS," the GS-1 is a complete replacement for any and
all previous products. Its incredibly friendly user interface
operates
with a touchscreen or mouse. The GS-1 lists all debit card
and cash systems in its set-up menu. Setting up or changing
a PayStation
card reader (or using the system without card control) is
as easy as selecting a printer. The GS-1 offers great expandability;
standards based architecture, excellent security, and extraordinary
ease of use and management.
In 1999 the LYNX-5000si Self-Service
Touchscreen Printer Management System was released. A Microsoft
NT based solution with robust
features, enterprise expandability, and a Windows like user interface;
it filled the need for a Windows NT based solution.
In 1996 the
LYNX-5000 Touchscreen Network Printer Manager, was released.
A DOS and Novell based solution.
In 1994 the LYNX-199 Standalone
Printer Manager was released. It enabled chargeable on-demand
printing, using student debit
cards.

Steve Haber has more than 30 years of computer and software industry
management experience. He was President of INFOREX, Inc., a software
development and management consulting company that he founded in
1987 and later changed its name to GoPrint Systems, Inc. He had
been a consultant for Card Access Technologies for 3 years prior
to the acquisition.
Under contract from GoPrint, he was President,
CEO of Insight Development Corporation, a leading software developer
specializing
in award winning printing solutions that included RenderPrint,
PrintAPlot, VisualPlot, PrinTools, MacPrint and Insight MOSAIC,
which was the server software used in the LYNX-5000 net work
printer management system. He held this position from 1992 through
1996.
Previously, he was cofounder and President of Onyx Technologies,
Inc., an international manufacturer of computer systems. He has
also held senior management positions with Corvus Systems, a
manufacturer of small business computers and networks, Datapoint
Corporation and Olivetti Corporation. At Olivetti, he was instrumental
in pioneering and launching the coin operated copying and vending
strategies. Steve holds a BBA degree from the City College of
New York.
He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for
the following companies.
